Hi dudes, I already finished the composing step of the first song of the new ep.
It sounds really good, tons of violins, tons of love.

I’m working on the composition of other two songs too, then I’ll record the voices.

The sound is really orchestral this time. I worked a lot on the instruments harmonies, trying to include unusual orchestral sounds like xylophones and arps. I’m pretty proud of the work I’m doing. The few people who listened to the demos described the songs as a “sad love movie soundtrack” and as a “stylisyic growth of Seaside Project, with a more complete sound and composition“.

Well, that was the goal, man.

Meanwhile, you can listen and download my first demotape here, downloaded more than 200 times from all over the world, just to be warm when the new ep will be out!

Cowabunga!

In the last rainy days I began to record some new tracks for the next Seaside Project’s EP. And everytime it happens, I suddenly re-fall in love for the old school synths like the fabolous Moog’s products. Obviously real 70′s synthetizers are a dream for me, they are really expensive, and I have to be content to play them “virtually”. But one day I’ll own one of these.

I love Moog MiniMoog!

I was looking at the flyer I made this afternoon for the next Seaside Project’s show. I shot the pic in 2008 in Thailand… It looks so “Apocalypse Now” style. Isn’t it? So I modified it as a wallpaper to fit my monitor. It looks great!

Hello dudes! I’m @ home for a while now (no “real” work for a couple of weeks), so I’m working hard on some gorgeous stuff…

First of all:

- pics. I MUST retouch tons of pictures for a “physical” project that will be out soon. I divided the “great” job into two categories: STAGE! and PEOPLE! Down the page you can see some examples of the works.

Second:

- music. I’m recording the tracks for the new Seaside Project’s EP. It will be out (free download) at half January. It will be a 4 tracks album … really 80′s oriented. I began these tracks two months ago, before my pc left me. After its resurrection, I had to re-install the whole software…Hard work, but I’ve been pretty happy when I could listen to the tracks after months!

Third:

- study. Well, I’m keep on studying grammar and graphics for my teaching job. I love it. I must be prepared for my pupils

Last (but not least)

Tomorrow is the last day of the year! So, I’d like to wish you a GORGEOUS 2010 full of music, pictures and great novels!

Locale strapieno, oltre duecento presenze, per i live che anticipano la salita sul palco di Emanuele: a scaldare il pubblico questa volta sono gli Oltremondo, con un rock energico, cantato in italiano, che non fa il verso a nessuno (per fortuna!) e che coinvolge il pubblico presente con testi sentiti e armonie squisitamente all’ordine del giorno (Negramaro, Negrita, ma anche qualcosina di più retrò).

A seguire gli Urban Clothes, band di giovanissimi con un grande seguito di pubblico, soprattutto giovanissimi, anche in questo caso intervenuti in massa per sostenere i loro beniamini. Ad occhi chiusi, senza pensarci due volte, direi un solo nome: Arctic Monkeys. E scusa se e poco. Ritmi in levare, chitarre distorte anni ’70 e un accento quasi cockney. Realmente talentuosi, questi ragazzi.

Per quanto riguarda il Seaside Project, beh, nulla da dire. L’ora tarda, l’una e cinque, e il pubblico che lentamente torna verso le automobili (cari assessori, a quando la metrò e i mezzi pubblici anche di notte?) non hanno certo giovato l’esibizione targata, come sempre, Straneofficine. Uno show per pochi, intimo ma efficace. E qui entra in gioco la prima persona singolare. Perchè suonare è importante, sempre, anche di fronte ad un pubblico di poche persone che, però apprezza.
