Latest update of the year: wishes + news
Hello dudes! I’m @ home for a while now (no “real” work for a couple of weeks), so I’m working hard on some gorgeous stuff…
First of all:
- pics. I MUST retouch tons of pictures for a “physical” project that will be out soon. I divided the “great” job into two categories: STAGE! and PEOPLE! Down the page you can see some examples of the works.
Second:
- music. I’m recording the tracks for the new Seaside Project’s EP. It will be out (free download) at half January. It will be a 4 tracks album … really 80′s oriented. I began these tracks two months ago, before my pc left me. After its resurrection, I had to re-install the whole software…Hard work, but I’ve been pretty happy when I could listen to the tracks after months!
Third:
- study. Well, I’m keep on studying grammar and graphics for my teaching job. I love it. I must be prepared for my pupils

Tomorrow is the last day of the year! So, I’d like to wish you a GORGEOUS 2010 full of music, pictures and great novels!

Merry Christmas to everyone !
Dear readers,
another Christmas has gone and I’d like to wish you all the best for you and your relatives too. 2009 has been a bitter/sour year … I graduated, I did a lot of new experiences but the path hasn’t always been so easy. Maybe it’s just called Life. 
Well, I’m working hard on new stuff … the key for my 2010 will be “Less software, more hardware”, and it means that as an artista I begin to feel the necessity to turn my digital world into physical stuff. And share it with you. It’s a long journey, sometimes difficult as I’m working on it on my own, but we’ll see the results soon.
So, thank you for following me on the Net, let’s keep in touch and enjoy these Christmas holidays with your beloved.

otra Navidad se ha ido y me gustaría desearle todo lo mejor para usted y sus familiares también. 2009 ha sido un amargo / año amargo … Yo me gradué, hice un montón de nuevas experiencias, pero el camino no siempre ha sido tan fácil. Tal vez se le llama simplemente la vida. Bueno, estoy trabajando duro en material nuevo … la clave para mi el 2010 será “Menos de software más hardware”, lo que significa que como un artista que empieza a sentir la necesidad de dar vuelta a mi mundo digital en la materia física. Y compartirlo con usted. Es un viaje largo, a veces difícil, ya que estoy trabajando por mi cuenta, pero vamos a ver los resultados pronto.
Por lo tanto, gracias por seguirme en la Red, vamos a mantenernos en contacto y disfrutar de estas vacaciones de Navidad con su amada.

un altro Natale è passato e vorrei augurare a tutti voi il meglio per voi ei vostri familiari. Il 2009 è stato un anno agrodolce … Mi sono laureato, ho fatto un sacco di nuove esperienze, ma il percorso non è stato sempre così facile. Forse è solo vita. Beh, sto lavorando a cose nuove … la chiave per il mio 2010 sarà “Meno software, più hardware “: significa che come un artista comincio a sentire la necessità di trasformare il mio mondo digitale in realtà fisiche. Per condividerlo con voi. E ‘un lungo viaggio, a volte difficile, perchè ci sto lavorando da solo, ma spero vedremo i risultati in tempi brevi.
Quindi, ti ringrazio per seguirmi in Rete, e ti auguro di passare felicemente queste vacanze di Natale con i tuoi cari.

A short letter to my followers
My dear, I just logged into my facebook page and I noticed that “fans” (what an expression! I prefer the term “followers”) drastically increased! You’re from all over the world! Well, I’d like to thank you all for the respect you give to my work. I’m now elaborating some really “shocking” portraits, old ones and new ones, for a new exciting project. the Flickr Cleanup Mission is almost over. My stage photography activity is really ok. My short stories keep on borning.
And there’s a warm wind of change blowing out of my window.

The “picture of the day”
Hi mates! Let me give you this “Picture of the Day” I’m working hard on Flickr for the “Cleanup mission”. It’s a hard and dirty work. I had to do it earlier. I’m deleting some really old and meaningless sets. Now only 2.663 pics are avaible in the archive! Meanwhile .. I began to work on some “ol’good stuff”. Here is The Nast band, shot in 2007, November.
Cleanup Mission: stage #1 completed!
Hi dudes! Cleanup Mission keeps on going straight to the target! In the last two days I deleted 3.719 images from my Flickr account. Now, 3.262 pictures are present. The target is to reach quote 2.000 (less is better, but I’ll see). It is incredibly strange to discover the trash a photographer creates in a couple of years … I’m pretty sure you won’t miss my “trash”. Results are still visible: better navigation, better shots, better ideas.
A little summary of the workflow:
mission starts from —> 6.981 pics —> 3.262 —> 2.000 (c.a.) pics —> add tags to images —> find out a better “sets” and “collections” organization —> fix the blog with missing images —> optimize and speed up the blog (it’s so slow, isn’t it?)
If you can’t see embed images on the blog, don’t worry: I’ll fix the issuu once I cleaned my Flickr portfolio.

Flickr photo cleanup
Dear followers, I’m working to drastically reduce the number of pictures on my Flickr account. Right now, almost 7.000 (exact number is 6.981) pictures are avaible on my page, so I decided to cleanup “trash” to keep just the best of my photo production.
It sounds like “Keep the best, trash the rest”.
Why I’m doin’it?
#1 – To grant high quality standards to my followers
#2 – Initially Flickr meant to me to be something like an archive. Now I prefer to use it as a portfolio.
#3 – Less picture = more attention
#4 – Last but not least: styles change, artist change, ideas change, so some pics don’t represent my job anymore
For a few days emanuelebarboni.info and my Flickr account will be unavaible (or partially avaible).
I’ll inform you when the cleanup will be finished!
