Musician, writer and photographer, Emanuele M. Barboni (Milan, 1981) is in the “artistic world” since when he was sixteen.  Well known in Italy as one of the most promising stage photo artist and photography theorical, after the language college (1995-2000) he confered a degree on Communication in 2004 and on fine art, music and drama in 2009, both with experimental thesis on photography. His style is aggressive, dirty and detailed. His style’s evolution brought him from a classic to a distorted, critic and visionary view of reality. He keeps on experiment new subjects and new techniques looking for an original and “never seen before” result.

Emanuele Barboni can be considered a 360 degrees artist, who moves from art to film making, from digital imaging to painting passing through web, novel, stories and music production (Seaside Project, the Novel). His art is contemporary and future oriented: digital, dark and experimental. His reason why is the mark he leaves everytime he passes, and his final goal is the creation of experimental theories. He’s inspired and deeply influenced from dark, punk, expressionism and surrealism with a particular attention to abstract and electronic arts.

Emanuele M. Barboni, also known as zOnk Volta, was born and lives in Milan, north Italy. During the last years he collaborated with important magazines and adv companies, concentrating himself on stage photography research. His work has been featured on important magazines and websites as BBC Uk, and his stage-shots have been appreciated by national and international bands.

Since 2009, Zonk Volta is experiencing the teaching career, focusing on visual art, computer art and advertising subjects.
